LIVING TRADITIONS IN KONYA

1-ŞİVLİLİK

Şivlilik is one of the most popular traditions in Konya. It is done on the day of Regaip Kandil. All children knock on doors and they get candies. Then, they eat all the things they have collected.



          In our school every year we celebrate this special day together. In this way students from other cities who aren't familiar with this tradition learn something about Konya. In the beginning they are surprised but later they get used to it.


2-WEDDINGS

       Weddings in Konya are famous for their food. Wedding ceremonies are usually held on  Sunday or Thursday.  The preparation of the meal starts a few days before. In the morning of the wedding, pilaf is served at the groom's house. Pilaf is cooked in large cauldrons.




3- KAŞIK OYUNU

       One of the important traditions of Konya is the spoon game. This game came to Konya from Central Asia.  There are a lot of figures in this game. But the figure most loved by people is the "Göbek" figure. This figure is made up of dynamic and rigid movements.  The player always smiles.

GEREDE SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL      Hi friends!      We are Mehmet and Arda .We are 10th grade students at Gerede Science High School.Today we are going to tell about our school.Our school is in Gerede,Bolu. It was founded in 2005. There are 24 teachers in our school. There are 13 classrooms.We have a Physics laboratory and a Chemistry laboratory and a Biology laboratory. We have a Musıc classroom,a library,Mind games,Geography and Computer Classrooms. We have a canteen at the bottom of the school. In the schoolyard there are a volleyball court and a basketball court.    Hello dear readers. Today, this blog page will feature the events organized at our school, Meram Science High School, at the end of each year, in May. Let’s get started. 1-Shirt Design     Every year our school asks its students to design a t-shirt. The designs are put to a vote at school and the first one is chosen. Students and teachers take care of the printing and sales of this t-shirt. And this t-shirt can be worn as a uniform at our school in the following years.
